Bet on Sports (General)
H2H (Moneyline) Betting
Your first option on Angle is to make a H2H, or moneyline, bet. To win this type of bet you just need the team you bet to win the game. Easy as that. If you bet the Philadelphia Eagles and the Eagles win the game then you win your bet.
In the screenshot to the left you see -120 odds for the San Francisco 49ers (SF4) and 110 odds for the Kansas City Chiefs (KCC). This means that the 49ers are the favorite in this game. Whichever team has the "-" symbol in their odds is the favorite to win the game. Whichever team has the "+" symbol in their odds is the underdog in the game (screenshot does not show "+" symbol but the symbol is implied since the number is positive in the screenshot).
When odds have the "-" symbol in front of them that means that you have to bet that amount to win $100. For the -120 example, you need to bet $120 to win $100.
When the odds have the "+" symbol, or no symbol, in front of them that means that have have to bet $100 to win that amount. For the 110 example, you need to bet $100 to win $110.
Spread Betting
Another option on Angle is to make a spread bet. For this type of bet you choose a team and a line and that team either needs to win by at least the line number or lose by less than the line number for you to win the bet.
In the screenshot you can see that the Kansas City Chiefs (KCC) are +2.5 (you do not see the "+" symbol but it is implied since it is a positive number in the screenshot). This means that the Chiefs have to lose by 2.5 or less. If the Chiefs lose by 3 or more, your bet loses. If the Chiefs lose by 2 or 1 or win the game then your bet wins.
In the screenshot you can see that the San Francisco 49ers (SF4) are -2.5. This means they are the favorites and have to win by 2.5 or more for you to win your bet. If the 49ers win by 2 or 1 or lose the game then your bet loses. If the 49ers win by 3 or more then your bet wins.
Not all spreads have the .5 point included. For this same game, if the 49ers were -3 and the Chiefs were +3, and the game ends with the 49ers winning by 3, that is what is called a push. Anyone who bet the 49ers -3 or the Chiefs +3 would get their bet amount back, but would not get any profit from the game. If a push happens in a parlay bet then the payout odds will be recalculated and if every other bet in the parlay hits, you will get paid out the updated payout amount that excludes the game that pushed.
You will notice the odds (-115 on the Chiefs +2.5 and -105 on the 49ers -2.5) on the spread bets. Please see the explanation on odds and payouts from the H2H (Moneyline) betting section.
Totals (or Over/Under) Betting
The third option on Angle is to make a totals bet. This type of bet depends on the total final score of the game. You are betting whether or not the total final score for the game is above or below a certain number.
There are two different numbers you can bet in the screenshot, for this example let's focus on the 47.5 number. If you bet the over for this game, you win your bet if the final score of the game is more than 47.5. For example, if the final score is 35-28 you would win your over bet, regardless of which team has which score.
If you bet the under for this game, you win you bet if the final score of the game is less than 47.5. For example, if the final score is 21-14 you would win your under bet, regardless of which team has which score.
The same Totals rules apply to the over/under 48 bet. However, there can be a push if you bet the 48 number. For example the final score could be 28-20, in which case your bet would push. Please see further explanation on a push in the Spread Betting section.
